Working together with you to create environments which are both functional and aesthetically pleasing.
Holes Montes’ land planning and landscape architectural design staff is comprised of RLA/ASLA and LEED AP accredited professionals with 44 local, state and national awards to their credit. This seasoned staff has successfully designed some of Southwest Florida’s most recognizable landmarks and communities, including Veronica Shoemaker Boulevard; Imperial Street; the City of Palms Park; the Lee County Port Authority’s Southwest Florida International Airport; and the Coconut Point Lifestyle Center, the latest in the Simon Property Group’s new urban mixed use commercial/residential communities, located in Estero, Florida.
In addition to these projects, the staff has developed and managed landscape and hardscape projects for numerous residential, commercial, and institutional projects, many of which are located in coastal barrier island and native plant micro-climates.
Our Landscape Architects/Land Planners look forward to creating exterior environments which are both functional and aesthetically pleasing. The design concept is to establish a unique personal identity for each project, incorporating environmental harmony and balance with adjacent surroundings while complying with all Federal, State and Local laws.
Our staff are trained to carefully study views, circulation patterns, architectural design features and the socio-economic climate of each unique opportunity, to create a unique atmosphere of style, safety and relaxation in community spaces. Vernacular materials used in our designs often reflect historic landmarks and architectural features as residents and visitors alike relate to those distinctive characteristics.
Techniques for crime prevention and safety are of prime importance in urban settings. In addition to obvious measures, there are means of addressing it in the landscape as well. Placement and choice of trees and shrubs should be selective. Plantings are designed to be attractive and functional to the project without providing conspicuous areas for any criminal element or distracting drivers creating hazardous roadway conditions.
The end result of any project should exude a sense of permanence both in architecture and the landscape, replicating the natural microclimate, blending with urban surroundings and continuing previously established historic and aesthetic themes.
